Who needs chocolate when you can have makeup?
Now I know that it’s a taboo to talk about the holiday season before Halloween is over, but this past weekend Ed and I stopped by Sephora (edit: Ed was dragged to Sephora) to buy Clarisonic Mia replacement heads and we stumbled upon a display of makeup advent calendars. Can I just repeat that again in caps lock to emphasize my enthusiasm? MAKEUP ADVENT CALENDARS have been invented and they’re being sold at Sephora!
Yes it’s a bit early to think about advent calendars, but if you’re someone who is addicted to makeup and loves to plan for the holidays far in advance like myself, you’re going to want to start rushing to your nearest Sephora and getting your hands on the Benefit Countdown To Love advent calendar or/and the Ciate Mini Mani Month advent calendar before they sell out. I’m aware that Ciate and a few beauty brands in the UK released advent calendars last year so technically this isn’t news, but they sold out in a blink of an eye and unless you were on top of your game (clearly I wasn’t) or living in the UK (I wish), you would never know that these marvellous calendars existed. Even though I already have my chocolate Kinder Surprise advent calendar (yes, Ed and I bought our advent calendars before we bought our Halloween pumpkins), I’m definitely going to get my hands on one of these makeup advent calendars because the thought of opening a door to a new makeup product every day leading up to Christmas excites me beyond belief!
Benefit Cosmetics is known for their creative product packaging and their advent calendar does not dissapoint! The Benefit Countdown To Love advent calendar is being sold for $79 CAD at Sephora (and sephora.com) and it contains 24 mini samples of their best selling products. Of course I’m not going to spoil the surprise and reveal what’s behind the little metallic gold doors, but if you’re curious, here’s the link to where you can buy the advent calendar online and see a full product list.
If you’re a nail polish hoarder addict collector like myself, you’d be very interested in the Ciate Mini Mani Month advent calendar. Ciate is recognized as being a trend setting nail polish line that introduced Sephora to statement nails. This calendar is being sold for $69 CAD at Sephora (and sephora.com) and it includes 24 of polishes from their paint pot, glitter, sequins, and metallic pearls lines. Are you as excited as I am for these advent calendars? Do you think you’ll replace your traditional advent calendar with this new find or will you have both this year? Leave me a comment below or tweet me at http://twitter.com/pandamoniumpink.
Cheers,
Kels
